The Cerebrum DAO Community includes all stakeholders, including Cerebrum DAO members (aka Tokenholders), Working Group (WG) Stewards and WG members, service providers, Founding Stewards, and those participating in any of our community engagement channels (e.g. Discord Server). The Cerebrum DAO Community are people affected by brain illnesses, those seeking to extend health brain lifespan, and those who are passionate about enhancing our understanding of the human brain and finding mechanisms to improve the performance of the human brain.
The Consensus Layer of Cerebrum DAO includes all stakeholders - including those that merely follow the Cerebrum DAO community and contribute from time to time, but may not hold governance tokens. While anyone can contribute to Cerebrum DAO by participating in the community, we seek to take broad community inputs and then these will get narrowed down into actionable decisions made by the Cerebrum DAO members which hold our governance tokens. The ideas are harvested from the community, and the ones with the most support are turned into active discussions within the Working Groups and their Squads. Once ideas, projects, and deal opportunities emerge as actionable, these will be presented to the Cerebrum DAO members for governance votes.
The Execution Layer of Cerebrum DAO includes the three Working Group Stewards as the execution leaders of the WGs. These WG Stewards are full-time members of Cerebrum DAO. Within the WGs, the Stewards are able to execute the decisions made by the Cerebrum DAO Members with the budget that is allocated to each WG. Each WG may have one or more Squads that execute the tasks for the DAO, and these tasks may be completed by WG members in exchange for compensation or can be farmed out to service providers.
Cerebrum DAO Members are anyone who holds governance tokens in Cerebrum DAO. Cerebrum DAO will be making its governance tokens available in the near future. Interested parties can acquire Cerebrum DAO tokens by providing funds to Cerebrum DAO via a token purchase or by providing valuable work to Cerebrum DAO. Said more simply, people can purchase tokens or they can earn tokens by providing work.
Cerebrum DAO has three main Working Groups (WGs). The WGs are led by Working Group Stewards (see below) who have a full-time role with Cerebrum DAO to (a) help facilitate consensus among the Cerebrum DAO Community and decisions from the Cerebrum DAO Members and (b) execute decisions made by the Cerebrum DAO Consensus Layer.
The WGs for Cerebrum DAO are as follows:
Cerebrum DAO Working Groups consist of domain experts to help guide member decisions in various work-streams and organizational processes. A working group member provides expertise and advice to Cerebrum DAO. They should be able to provide some level of objectivity with regards to their advice.
Working groups can help define proposals to the Cerebrum DAO Members and therefore, are the execution layer. Working group meetings are scheduled and operated in the open. Interested parties can join working groups by following the Working Group onboarding process for Cerebrum DAO.
Within each working group in Cerebrum DAO we have one or more Working Group Squads that provide work to Cerebrum DAO. Some WG Squads are permanent operating needs of the DAO and some are more temporal (e.g. a squad may form to focus on a specific deal opportunity).
The initial Squads within each WG for Cerebrum DAO are outlined below:
